It seems that collecting items from the Old West period is all the rage again. A recent blog by Cowgirl Ramblings addressed just this point. I too have found that more and more people are making their first purchase of period Old West items. So why the increased interest ? I'm not sure but it could be because of the recent movies like 3:10 to Yuma and The Assassination of Jesse James. Maybe it's a generation thing and the people that grew up watching The Lone Ranger and Roy Rogers are now at a point in their lives that they have more discretionary money and collecting Old West items reminds them of their childhood. Whatever the reason, business is good. Happy hunting for Old West Antiques.
